musicRx was established in 2010 by husband and wife team, Gino and Tamera Bueno.

The two had both found themselves unemployed and, with a family of six, they needed to find work. Tamera had re-entered school and was working toward her degree in Mass Communications. Gino held his degree in Social Services and had worked in the field for more than thirty years. He had also played music for more than twenty-five years. When a fellow musician introduced Gino to this type of business, he immediately knew this was the the perfect way to combine his passion for entertaining with his professional background.

From September 2010 to the end of December 2010 musicRx rapidly grew from twelve clients to thirty-seven and was also getting booked for corporate events and special occasion parties such as birthdays, graduations and weddings.

Our Approach is the result of our Core Beliefs that:

• Music is the prescription for the mind, body and soul;

• The listener is not there for us, rather, we are there for them;

• Our purpose is to enhance the listener's quality of life, even if for only a brief period of time; and

• When we have fun, the listener will have fun!

With these core beliefs always in mind, our approach focuses on reaching out and connecting with our listeners. We invite and encourage each of them, in a variety of ways, to become an active participant as opposed to a passive listener. We work hard to acknowledge each and every person present and to demonstrate that they are valued as individuals. Gino's versatile voice and our vast library of music, including a variety of genres from the 1920s to present, allow us to tailor each performance to best reach those who are listening.
